Walking through my local supermarket today, I noticed that they were selling advent calendars. I can’t believe that we are already in the run up to Christmas. It got me thinking about ideas for Christmas gifts. So I suppose I thought I would share those ideas.
Call of Duty Black Ops
This is a computer game which is available on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I think I will be buying this for a friend as he likes his shoot them up games. If I remember correctly, this is the seventh Call of Duty title.
Red Letter Days
You can purchase anything from Super Car Racing days to more traditional Christmas Hampers. This would be a good idea for someone who is more into their experiences rather than material gifts.
You can’t usually go wrong with Perfume, just make sure you get one she likes otherwise you could end up in Hot Water. You might need to do some investigation work in order to establish the correct perfume.
Toy Story 3
I suspect toys from Toy Story 3 will be popular this year. These seem to be available now from many retailers. I am not sure when the DVD will be available but I would assume before the end of the year.
Apple Ipod Touch
A gadget this time. An iPod Touch is something I would like to receive this Christmas. However its high price tag is probably a little prohibitive. This particular version of the iPod not only plays Music, but plays Videos, has an inbuilt Camera and plays games. What more could you want?
Perhaps a little boring but a suggestion none the less.
Of course you could just escape during the festive season and go on Holiday. Sometimes that is easier and less stressful. If you are skint this year, instead of giving gifts you could write personalised letters to your close friends and family explaining how much they mean to you etc. I have never met anyone personally who has done this. I think I saw it as a suggestion somewhere. It just doesn’t seem like something I would expect someone to do. However I guess that someone somewhere must have done this. Perhaps I need new friends?
Christmas is also a very expensive time of year. It is always a good idea to make a budget and stick to it. Going over board only puts you into Debt and you end up paying for it until the following Christmas. The whole process starts again. It does seem like a lot of effort for one day. So spend only what you can afford and above all enjoy yourself.
These are a few Christmas Gift Ideas, please feel free to share some of yours.
